Dear Friends and ‘Yoga family’,
Welcome to the official website of ‘International Day of Yoga in Houston’. In the true spirit of “Yoga” – the union, 177 countries co-sponsored the United Nations resolution to declare International Day of Yoga on 21st June every year. With your active participation and support, it is our pleasure to bring together a large number of diverse Houstonians and institutions for celebrating the first International Day of Yoga (IDY) in a befitting manner in Houston on 21 June, 2015. My sincere thanks to all organizers, supporters and sponsors of this event for their contribution towards the IDY.I encourage all Houstonians to perform Yoga and actively participate in this free event with interactive Yoga sessions and ‘Yoga fair’ at George R. Brown Convention Center on 21 June to spread the message of Yoga for peace and harmony.

Harish Parvathaneni
Consul General of India, Houston
